Dear Diary,
Whenever I know something is about to end, I spend time preparing myself to move on. When I notice something is taking a toll on me, and I'm about ready to end it, I'll desensitize myself to the thought of it ending so I am able to move on with my life and regain my happiness. I make sure that no feelings linger and I am able to continue with my life free of any doubts or regrets.
I started with this method a little over a year ago with my last relationship. Since then, I've applied it to failing friendships as well. It's been really freeing. Since I keep applying this method, it's never failed me! I never catch myself missing a single person I've purposefully cut off.
It takes a weight off my heart that I used to carry quite heavily. I still carry guilt of my failed relationships before applying this, but I've also reconnected with three old friends so far! They were the ones I missed the most anyway, so I'm glad.
